I have two little sons. They are 4 years old. Recently we had a final holiday in the kindergarten. We needed costumes for this day. We have long thought on this issue and decided to make costumes by our hands. Dan decided to be a cowboy, and Eric wanted to be Indian. The basis of these suits was velvet pants. I took a simple but very comfortable and beautiful corduroy pants, and added accessories to create the desired image. Hat is another important element to create a cowboy image. You can order such a hat online or get from friends. Required attribute is a scarf. Vest can be made from any material, but it can be decorated with fringe. Yet we needed a belt, gun, a checkered shirt and boots. As it turned out, the popularity of the cowboy does not fall. Our costume was liked all the children on a holiday. Of course, you can sew trousers made of cloth, which simulates the leather, but velvet trousers are much more practical, because your baby will be able to wear them and after carnival. You only need to decorate these pants artificial fringe, simulating the leather, which is sold online. Yet we have sewn cover for the gun and adorned with metal buttons (they are sold in bags of 10 pieces). We strengthened the hat, adding to it ties, which were taken from the old crawlers and painted the color of the hat. The beige ribbon and gold braid were a good trim for the crown.

The basis of Indian costume was velvet pants too. My old checkered shirt turned into beautiful ponchos. Besides, we cut well it and made the fringe. We also added fringe on the pants. Socks were put on the boots, mimicking moccasins. Indian headdress was made of 3 purchased feathers (you can buy them online). They were stitched together with usual rope (we have helped again our crawlers with ties). We attached the usual laundry shirring that headdress was behaved well on the head. If you do not have such feathers, you can make them from paper and paint. Hanging from the sides decorations will give Indian majestic appearance. Such trim can be cut from the foil and cardboard. And the most spectacular things in this costume were teeth of grizzly bear. We ordered special clay, make the white and brown teeth and gathered them on a thread. That is such wonderful costumes we have done by our hands for carnival. My babies were very happy!
